Breaking news : STICS training session April 2017

The Stics crop model is used in the ATCHA project in the objective of predicting the impact of changes in climate and agricultural practices on crop production and water resources.

A first training session on Stics model for has been organised in Bangalore from 4th to 7th of April 2017 at UAS Bangalore.

The overall goal of the training session wa to familiarize ATCHA selected members and partners of the ATCHA project with the STICS concepts and to get autonomy when using the stand alone javaSTICS version. Practical sessions were based on data acquired in the frame of the AICHA project on a number of tropical crops. Participants were offered the possibility to work on their own data (Sujala-III experiments ; Controlled experiments in university campus).

On April 7th, certificates were given to the 24 trainees  by Dr. H. Shivanna, Vice Chancelor of University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore
